Small Appliances

These guides assume a kitchen with limited counter space and a real budget, not a test lab. We compare capacity, wattage, control layout and cleanup from the maker's own specs and manuals, and we summarise what owner reviews keep mentioning in our own words. Each pick shows a price tier and a link to the current Amazon price.

What to look for in Small Appliances

Air fryers, stand mixers, blenders and rice cookers compared on capacity, controls and counter space.

  1. Specs We read the manufacturer's product page, spec sheet and manual for material, dimensions, weight, capacity, wattage, stovetop or heat source compatibility, and warranty terms
  2. Prices We do not print dollar prices
  3. Owner reviews We read a wide spread of owner reviews on Amazon, on the maker's own site and on independent forums, looking for a pattern rather than a single opinion
  4. What we never do We never claim to have run a product through a lab, a kitchen trial or a personal trial of our own
  5. Keeping pages current We re-check the products in a guide on a regular schedule, and we note the last verified date at the top of every page
